First time ever MEMBER – ONLY event
17 June 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm CEST
Free
This is our very first event created exclusively for our members. If you haven’t yet, we invite you to register for the event and join us. You can also bring a friend or colleague, for them to discover our community’s wisdom ✨(some call it wizardry)!
In this event, we will have a participatory deep dive discussion focusing on practical insights that can be applied in the work of organisation design. Our guest authors will lead this, three of them shortlisted by the EODF Curatorial Board from the most popular content featured in our monthly Curated Content Newsletter and Global Trends Conversations and two authors who are nominated by our community to address the demand for content on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and increased contributions in our knowledge base from authors of diverse backgrounds, expertise and cultures.
We invited Perry Timms, one of our proud longtime members, to host the event, and our 2022 awards nominees authors. Three are authors shortlisted by the EODF Curatorial Board from the most popular content featured in our monthly Curated Content Newsletter and Global Trends Conversations – Tom Hunsaker, Jonathan Knowles and Pia Lauritzen. They will be joined by Sally Elatta and Jodie Walls as authors nominated by our community to address the demand for content on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion. We value their contributions in our knowledge base from authors of diverse backgrounds, expertise and cultures and want to make a difference.
Each author will lead a participatory deep dive discussion focusing on practical insights that can be applied in the work of organisation design inspired by their own work and experience.
Here is what you will learn in this event:
- Pia Lauritzen, author of “How to make big, old companies act fast“, has a background in philosophy and has done research on asking questions. It’s fascinating to learn from her the kinds of questions typically asked in organisations and which questions help collaboration
- B. Tom Hunsaker & Jonathan Knowles, authors of “The essence of strategy is now how to change“, offer a new framework for strategy development. They will share this new framework and how it links to org design. Hint! – you have to design an organisation that enables a dynamic exchange with stakeholders.
- Sally Elatta produced the video, “How to leverage our transformation skills for rebuilding nations”, about her incredible work supporting the rebuilding of Sudan after a revolution. It’s inspiring to hear about her story and how she used her skills and personal conviction to tackle a huge challenge beyond organisation design.
- Jodie Walls, co-author of “Is it possible to design diversity, equality and inclusion into an organisation, and if so, how?“, addresses the question that many of us are asking – how can our org design skills help to improve DEI? She will share about how she worked with City of Liverpool to discover their challenges and opportunities.
The winners of the EODF awards, Best Content Contribution Award and Award for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Expertise in Organisation Design will be revealed towards the end, together with special announcements and surprises!
