Course overview

The purpose of the short course is to provide learners with knowledge and experience that enables and motivates them to solve real-world sustainability challenges at work.This online course is designed for organisational leaders, HR practitioners and sustainability champions who wish to learn how to effectively lead a sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy in hybrid work environments.

Course details

Workshop 1: Introduction: Exploring sustainability in the context of remote and hybrid workplaces
·       Explore the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the sustainability implications of remote and hybrid working.
·       Understand the benefits and challenges of remote and hybrid working.
·       Consider the SDGs in the context of remote and hybrid working and the positive impact that your work organisation can make.

Workshop 2: Organising for sustainable work environments
·      Introduction to organisation design and the relationship between organisational design and sustainability.
·      Explore operating models for sustainability.
·      Consider the impact of operating model on sustainability performance.

Workshop 3: Using the SDG Action Manager
·       Understand the value of undertaking a baseline of your organisation using the SDGs.
·       Understand how the UN SDG Action Manager can be used as a tool to assess impact across SDGs.
·       Assess your organisation SDG baseline using the UN SDG Action Manager.
·       Prioritise the SDGs that your organisation ecosystem can contribute to bring about more impact.

Workshop 4: Scenario planning and taking action for SDG impact
·       Examine the role of leadership and organisational culture to bring about change.
·       Understand the role of scenario planning to guide your sustainability strategy.
·       Create a plan to implement your SDG(s) action.
